When you list a part on Parts Ja, the phone number you provide is used to generate the “WhatsApp Seller” link. By listing a part, you understand that this number will be accessible to users who click the button to contact you.
Data Security
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal contact information to third-party marketing companies. Your phone number is used solely for the purpose of connecting you with potential buyers or for essential platform updates (Eg, listing expirations).
Third-Party Service (WhatsApp)
Once a buyer clicks the WhatsApp button, the conversation moves to the WhatsApp platform. Parts Ja does not have access to, nor do we store, the private messages, photos, or transaction details exchanged between you and the other party. We recommend reviewing WhatsApp’s own Privacy Policy for details on how your chats are secured.
Data Retention
If you choose to delete your account or auto part, we will stop displaying your phone number in connection with that listing on our public search results.
Subscriber and Payment data
- Information We Collect
When you upgrade to a “Pro Dealer” or “Enterprise ‘ account, we collect additional information necessary to manage your subscription, including;
- Account Details: Your name, business name (if applicable), and email address.
- Billing Information: Note: Parts JA uses a third-party payment processor. Parts Ja does not store your full credit card numbers on our servers.
- Use of Subscriber Data
We use your subscriber information specifically to:
- Verify your identity and award your “Verified Dealer” badge.
- Process your monthly or annual subscription payments.
- Send you receipts, invoices, and renewal reminders.
- Provide priority customer support.
- Data Security & Storage
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your account. Your password is encrypted and cannot be viewed by our staff.
- Third-Party Sharing (Payments)
To process subscriptions, we share necessary data with our secure payment gateway providers. These providers are strictly prohibited from using your personal information for any purpose other than facilitating your Parts Ja subscription.
- Your Rights: Cancellation & Access
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your subscriber data at any time.
Cancellation: If you cancel your subscription, we will retain your data only as long as necessary for tax and legal auditing purposes, but your “Pro” or “Enterprise” features will be deactivated immediately at the end of your billing cycle. Parts JA complies with the Data Protection Act (2020).
Transactions, Payments & Refunds
- All payments, inspections, deliveries, and returns are arranged and completed off-platform.
- Parts Ja does not accept or process payments and is not a party to any sale.
- Subscriptions to “Pro” and “Enterprise” tiers are billed monthly. Violations of these Terms may result in suspension without refund.
- Verification & seller trust
We may offer a “Verified Seller” badge: granted after a seller completes 5 consecutive subscriptions with no report flags. The Badge rules and retention are managed by Parts Ja.
Limitation of Liability & No Warranty
- All listings are provided “As-Is.” Parts Ja does not inspect, guarantee, or warrant the condition, compatibility, title, or legality of any listed item.
- Parts Ja is not liable for inaccurate descriptions, failed payments, misfits, theft, losses, damages, or personal injury arising from transactions initiated through the platform.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parts Ja’s liability is limited to direct proven damages up to the amount of any subscription fees you have paid in the prior 1 month (if any). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.
