- The 3-Digit Calibration Code: Each new BMW and Mini injector features a three-digit calibration code stamped on the body. Record this code for each specific cylinder prior to installation, as these values must be entered into a diagnostic tool to complete the ECU coding process.
- Always Buy New Decoupling Elements: Direct injection lines operate at extreme pressure. You must always replace the Teflon seal and the metal decoupling ring element on the tip every single time an injector is removed, or fuel will blow past the cylinder head.
